Our company wanted to purchase a safe platform for our warehouse and naturally wanted to save as much money in the process as we could without trading safety. We knew we’d have to have something specially engineered because of the tricky set up we have with our racking system out there but we hoped we didn’t need custom fabrication. We held our breath and contacted Erectastep to see what they could do for us. To say we were thrilled with what we learned would be an understatement. We found a universal platform design that was infinitely expandable and reusable through common bolt hole patterns. These bolt holes allow stairs, handrails and other platforms to be attached to any side of the safe platform that would fit our needs. Come to find out their parts are all high precision components that are robot and laser cut and welded. I don’t think you can get any more precise and consistently accurate than what a robot can do. I also learned that each safe platform is stamped from a single piece of aluminum and has a slip resistant walk surface. I was sure this would work for us.
They told us about a modular stair and platform system that met our needs and that they had in-stock parts that could ship immediately. Since they met all of the OSHA regulations we were up against we went ahead and ordered what we needed. We were blown away by how fast everything arrived.
There are platforms for many different applications. I would guess they can put together just about any configuration you could possibly need. There are platforms that give easy access over and around areas like assembly lines. There are systems providing access within a confined space to a mezzanine level of a warehouse. The tower access system allows specific access to elevated parts such as valves or filters that frequently require access. There is also a ladder replacement style of industrial platform that can replace your ladder or work stands and we'll be looking into getting some of those in a short time frame.
