Abalone cabin was remodeled with recycled woods from the property. The kitchen floor is old hemlock siding and the baseboards and window trim were fashioned from an old poplar-sided barn. The house includes modern amenities including internet access, TV/DVD player, and gas grill. It is cooled by a window unit and has baseboard electric heat. The house has two bedrooms with a queen bed and full bed and a full bath with shower only. Abalone is the perfect spot to celebrate an anniversary or for anyone who loves getting away from it all. Although you will feel surrounded by wilderness, downtown Black Mountain is 2 miles away and downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate are only 25 minutes away.
